UniCare Sound in Illinois is affordable health insurance

UniCare's new Sound health program targeted at the young uninsured's in Illinois is a very affordable and comprehensive health insurance plan. The plan fit's in well with what the state of Illinois is trying to do, and that is to make sure that every resident of the state has health insurance. It is a pretty ambitous goal but the state of Illinois legislature is working toward a public/private partnership that would make sure no resident is without health insurance.

Where UniCare Sound fits in is affordability. An Illinois resident can get full quality coverage from $60 to $114 that includes Rx, dental, vision, preventative, ER, and doc visits. "That is a pretty complete package", says John Berkowitz of Medequote. The Chicago based agency which is licensed in Illinois, Texas, and Michigan, all key UniCare states, is poised to start enrolling young people in a lot of new ways. "We of course are trying to get the word out on the internet, and UniCare will start advertising in the media some time this year, but we just might take this product directly to the streets and colleges so we can explain the benefits of having affordable health insurance. Really there is no reason a young person should go without coverage when the price per month is less than it takes to go watch the Cub's for the afternoon with your girlfriend.
We need to get the point across that having health insurance, particularly UniCare Sound, is a smart, and cool thing to do. We want to make health coverage a status symbol."

"Many student's forget that when they graduate they are no longer covered by their parent health plan," say's Berkowitz. "We need to get the word out that there is affordable health coverage availble immediately when you graduate that you can continue till you get a job with full benefits."
