Sound Health planning market expansion in 2007

Sound health plans from UniCare should be able to expand coverage to as many as six new states in 2007. Word on where they are going to go first is being kept under wraps as they continue to expand the sister Tonik product into as many as 13 states by the end of 2006.

"I think they will concentrate on Anthem affilates first before they add more UniCare states. The top two states, Texas, and Illinois are already online, but more surprises will happen in 2007. Since Sound is an internet product that doesn't need any onsite sales support they can expand at will into markets they feel will provide growth in 2007." says John Berkowitz of www.unicaresoundplans.com

Berkowitz comments, "I have enver seen a product gain so much momentum by simply word of mouth, people from other states are always calling out office to see when it will be available where they live. You just don't see that type of response over a health insurance plan."

UniCare Sound, and it's sister BCBS Tonik are different because they are exploiting a niche that hasn't been dealth with well in the past, unisured's between 18-29. Sound is available to people between the ages of 1-65, but the marketing effort is firmly after the young invincible crowd. "Pretty smart marketing philosophy" says Berkowitz.
